Pro-Shop fully stocked with martial arts equipment, uniforms, supplies and a snack bar for refreshments after class!

San Jose Parkour and Jung SuWon has been training students in the art and discipline of Parkour and Freerunning since March of 2008. The Instructors are Matthew Trinidade and Jonathon Palmer. Matthew Trinidade has been involved in professional sports for over 12 years and has been an active in Parkour since 2003 and has taught over 200 traceurs already from different parts of the world (California, New York, Israel, Australia, etc.). Trinidade has a focus on maximizing the human body's potential and Parkour techniques using traditional teachings studied from many of the founders of Parkour. Jonathon Palmer has been a martial arts instructor and black belt at Jung SuWon for many years. Palmer has a focus on Freerunning and tricking using martial arts and gymnastic methods. Both instructors have great experience teaching people of all ages and methods.

You can expect a great in-depth training session when you come to the dojo. Each class has hard conditioning work-outs, drills, training on basic techniques all the way to advanced Parkour/Freerunning/Tricking techniques. The instuctors look for and insist on perfect practice in order to insure the safety of it's students and the promotion of good, healthy work-out habits. If you want a great work-out and learn a great discipline, come out this Saturday! The best students will want to train with the group regularly every week and give everything a good honest try and devoit of laziness.

@phantom - Fremont is in NorCal. Also, if you want to learn handsprings, take any gymnastic class at any gymnastic gym. That's what they teach in gymnastics. Or just find an open gym time. Parkour classes are obviously not the place for that. ;-)

I didn't see a date on this post for Saturday? Anyways I just signed up today and was wondering about the age range of the people showing up? I assume first timers are always welcome. Recommendations of what to bring or wear? gloves, shoes, etc.... Any other information you could provide, greatly appreciated.

Everyone is welcome to come. Its every Saturday. Wear light fitness type clothing. You will be working out pretty hard and you will sweat! age range is about 12-25 right now and we get about 5-10 people regularly. We train barefoot so special shoes aren't needed and gloves aren't either.

Just a word...since the class has been successful and we are going to be building extra obstacles this summer...the $12 per session won't last for long...so come on down...or up to Fremont.

I attended a session at this gym last weekend. What a fantastic group of people. Friendly, willing to share ideas and give advice with out any ego. Any time I find myself in this area for business, I'm going to do my best to go work out with them.

I'm not teaching this class anymore because of my car accident, but one of my members, Palmer, is still there and holds the session.

I'm alright. I am now fully recovered from my accident (physically and financially). I am going to take charge of the instruction of these classes again starting on 2/21/09. Hope to see some new faces when I come back!

We've taught plenty of young kids, youngest at age 10, its actually about half of our students at Fremont. We do teach free-running as well. I specialize in teaching Parkour, while my fellow member, Palmer, specializes in teaching free-running.

I built a new obstacle for the class...so we now have two new obstacles. So it's been over a year with our "intro price" so we've finally brought the price up to cover the costs of the obstacles. But we are still the cheapest around and offer great training!

Ah I'm interested in these Fremont sessions, since I live in Fremont. I was wondering is you have any female participants.
