Hey guys, I had a cool idea to get footage from everyone all over Cali and just mash it up into a vid as a Cali Parkour/Freerunning Compilation.

If you wanna help me out with the vid and send in some footage, please do so!

Note: I am critical on what is put in a vid (sorry!) so make sure your movements are clean and solid! Preferably Good quality Cameras too please.

Anyways, if you do send me some vids, you can either e-mail them to me at:
monkie_honor©pacbell.net
or
taylorrunkle©gmail.com
(Obviously change the © to @ when sending an e-mail :P)
or you can hit me up on AIM and send it to me that way: swiftnavyseal

Be sure to include where you are from and a name/nick-name as well.

edit - I am also open to suggestions on the video!

Thanks!
Peace
-Taylor

Depends, how much of a video would you want? Just like a clip, or a 2 min video?

This sounds awesome! I have very little footage and no camera but other than that, I'm down!

Thanks for the ideas Kasai, I'll listen to the songs in a sec. and yea, that's what I was hoping to do, I also posted on BAPK and SFPK to hopefully get some people up north to send some footage as well.

Tcat: Just a clip or 2 of something you're good at and something that looks solid and clean.

Any other suggestions I'm all for - thought of this last night so there really is no... planning involved haha

The sooner the better, but you have time, I don't plan on starting for a while - I don't even know how many people will send me vids so I'm not really planning anything until I get sent a good number of vid from people from all of Cali. I hoping I can get plenty of footage, but I'm not counting on it :/
But yeah, you have time haha

Great idea, oh hairy one!
Ok, I filmed some training, a few things I've been working on recently. I'm honestly a bit hesitant to share this although I know full well that our discipline is not about being "best" or egos. If you deem this unworthy, I won't take offense at all or let it affect my pride, we'll just all continue to do what we do. Please do not repost--Feedback appreciated though!

make sure the music fits though. i make youtube videos and if you have bad music, (i dont mean bad as in it sucks but bad as in it doesnt fit well.) your vid will suck. ive had experience with it many times before i figured out what my problem was.

also, dont just pick music cause it sais california in it too, i mean the idea is cool, but dont limit yourself, if you have to scrqap the idea, then just throw it away, dont settle for something that isnt as good.

srry if you allready know this taylor, but i dont know how much editing you do so i thought id give some advice.

as for locations, you should definatly show a bunch of them. maybe put "Sacramento" or whatever the location is before a set of clips, then show em. that would be cool, + helpfull to people looking for spots.
ill send some from placerville soon, next week ill have a big session on friday so we can get a bunch of clips.

Haven't really even gotten anything sent to me, wasn't expecting anyone to really send me anything either. Thought I would try though. Don't think I'm gonna bother with this project, but if people still want to send me stuff they can - If I get footage Ill still make the vid.

Noooo dont give up yet taylor! This project is a really good idea but unless you want a lot of old footage, it's going to take time for people to film and send it in. I still need to buy a camera but seriously, we need more statewide projects like this!

hey taylor..... okay Jakob says his nose will be good by nest tuesday or wednsday. Oh yeahhhh I was wondering if I do a little filming of you two training because I wont to work on my filming skills as well as the fact that I want to practice a wittle bit more before I film my training :).
Please?

yaya hotel california has a good vibe to it. a nice beat, smooth and calm, + cali in it so thats kinda cool. id give my thumbs up on that.

to taylor, dont give up just yet, if no one has sent you clips in like 2 months then you might want to re post or somthing.
what you need is a way to advertise it more than the group of pkcali visitors. i mean there is a lot of members but probably only like 20 - 30 people login a lot, or spend a lot of time in the forums.
mabey we should make a poster? hang it up around big PK spots?
ill make one if you want, i have a lot of photoshop experience. it would be a while till i could get it up though, it would be a fairly big project.
get back to me.

What do you mean poster...? I do Photoshop too so I could probably make one if you're talking about a banner to post on a site? I don't think that's really worth it or going to do anything to be honest. I already posted up on BAPK and SFPK as well.

@Taylor, I think he means like make a physical poster and put at say, UCLA around the spots where people tend to train (is that the right train btw?), is that what you mean stumpy?
