Hey everyone. Here it is, the thread for the Monthly Jam of May. It'll be in the great parkour city of San Jose. Been more than a year since I've hosted one here...bet you all miss it. Well here are the details for now...similar to last time. I will be posting the location or locations and style of jam up soon.

For now:

Date: Sunday, May 24, 2009
Location: San Jose, CA
Time: 9am - meet and greet
10am - official start of the jam
12:30ish - lunch
End of jam: ??? until your body can't take anymore!

Set Locations: 9-10am spot - Peggy Sue's Diner - 29 North San Pedro - San Jose, CA
3pm spot - San Jose State University - entrance by the cross streets of San Carlos and 4th Street.

I've always hosted jams from sun-up to sun-down. It is up to you when you want to show and when you want to leave...the longer you stay, the more of the city you will experience though. I am going to try to get some hookups from our local vendors like I did last year...maybe some food joints will give us discounts this time.

I will be updating this post as I get more of this planned out. Stay tuned and I'll see you all here on the 24th. It'll be fun times.

Hmmm...I'll be in SF on that day since I'll be at the Massive West Coast Meet. How difficult would it be to get down to SJ for this and back up to SF to make my 10pm flight home?
Are you going to the Massive Meet?

san jose is about an hour's drive (approx 55 miles) from SF. if no car, caltrans is the next best option, but it will be time consuming if you have a flight to catch. BART doesn't have a direct route from SF to san jose.

i'm trying to make it for that weekend as well, so we may have to put our heads together...

San Jose is not too far from San Francisco. If you have a car, you'd be much better off. San Jose is a great parkour city that all of you So-Cal kids have yet to check out. Anyone at the "massive west coast jam" will tell you about San Jose if they've attended one of mine. I will be teaching my parkour class on the 23rd...but I'm still going to try to make it to the "massive" one....but I know that San Jose still has the best spots in the Bay.

This was a lot of fun! I'm really happy I got to go to this and finally meet you! San Jose has some great spots and a positive community of traceurs. I look forward to training with you again!
