Some of my best memories of Summer are from these sessions, and I'm ecstatic now for the first one of the season. Hopefully we'll get a load of new faces who've joined in training over the last year, as well as a bunch of regulars who know how we kick it ;) LAST SUMMER WAS A BLAST, LET'S MAKE THIS ONE BETTER

So here's the info:

Who:
Everybody!! (for real)
Traceurs, traceuses, newbs, veterans, autobots, decepticons...

Where:
UCLA, Los Angeles.
Meet at the Med Center fountain (à la Jo vs the med center wall) - a.k.a. 300 Medical Plaza, Los Angeles, CA (NW corner Le Conte Ave & Westwood Blvd, diagonally across from Burger King)
Map
Campus Map

When:
June 6th
12:00pm

How:
Carpool
probably the ideal option. split gas costs and come and leave on your own time schedule. if you'd like to donate the open seats in your car, post the number of seats and where you're coming from and i'll add it to the list.

orem (3 seats from La Cañada)
patmcibass (3 seats from Huntington Beach)
tonyv (2-3 seats from East LA/Downtown)

Parking Options!
If you go up Levering Ave off Gayley you'll be in the residential area where you have a pretty good chance of scoring free parking if you comb the streets. Otherwise there are quite a few lots near our meet up location, including one right across the street.

If anyone wants to post up rates for some of these places I'll c/p them here.

Public Transport
AMTRAK is your best bet. you can check here at this handy timetable of their SoCal trains. It stops in Ventura, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Burbank, Glendale, Los Angeles, Fullerton, Anaheim, Irvine, Oceanside, San Diego and many other places.

Woot! I'll try to make it. June 6? Nat. PK day?! Woot. My mom promised to drive me anywhere on that day... so hopefully I can come. Never been to UCLA, only CHS and Claremont colleges.

Maybe.

I already have plans to be in that area but might not be able to meet up with anyone until 6pm. I'll call to find out if you guys are still training or just hanging out afterward.

I'll most likely be going and if I do, Colin and I can give you a ride if you want Valkry. We can talk to your mom to reassure her if you want (are you the younger kid? I can't ever remember sorry). Anyways, hopefully I can make it.

Yes, I'm that kid. About 15. But I'm pretty sure I can get a ride there from my parents no problem... they might have something to do out there that day, and my friend might be coming, and his parents are paranoid, so there would be know way he could carpool.

Btw, I've been free lately, when are you two starting another cmont / pomona / monclaire etc session?

Really want to go... Maybe, probably and hopeful.

A good freind will help get you to the hospital. Your best freind will pick you up, dust you off and and ask you "Ready to try that again?"

I'm in :D

I might have to take the train. If that's the case, I'll post any necessary train/bus transfers, schedules, and fares just so no one else has to go looking... because it sucks figuring all that out sometimes.

I'm confirmed... you should add me to the list!

...sadly I hurt my back on Monday and it's still recovering. I'm going to be bummed if I cant jam this weekend!

I'm going to be in town on the 6th and would really be into meeting up. A movie I worked on is screening in West Hollywood, should be done around noon and I'll try to get over shortly after. I can probably get a ride but would gladly take a seat if anyone's driving from that direction. How long do these sessions usually go?

(Anyone interested in checking out my film at Dance With Films, pm me for more info. No free passes, though, sorry.)
