Who: Anyone and everyone
What: Training, then eating, then a huge game of capture the flag!
When: Saturday, July 4, 2009 @ 10am
Where: Hillcrest Park, Fullerton, CA

Post up whatever you're going to bring so we don't double up on items. We could use plates/utensils, too. Anyone have a grill they want to bring? Bring footballs/frisbees/boomerangs if you want.

*If you don't know what to bring, then a $5 bill helps cover BBQ meats.

I have to leave at 1:00pm but I can probably hook up the grill, a cooler, etc if we are eating by noon. Do you want to have the potluck by the the old pink box? Let me know.

The Box Formerly Known As Pink is the ideal area. Anyone know if park rangers have any restrictions on where we can have fires? Or how strict they are on reservations?

For that area, I do not think you need a reservation. Only for the big places like the white building.

Sounds fun! The tables in "pink box valley" as I used to call it, may be reserved, but I have never seen them all reserved. We should be okay, I'm not sure about the fire policy though.

Actually on second thought I dont think my knee will be at a hundred percent on July 4. Is it still cool to come though if I can't train and just bring the booze instead and some of the meat aka hamburger patties

Its day time... what we want here are firecrackers and smokebombs. Lots and lots of smokebombs. :)

A good freind will help get you to the hospital. Your best freind will pick you up, dust you off and and ask you "Ready to try that again?"

Considering we're regulars at Hillcrest and we're currently on good terms with the park officials at this awesome training area, let's avoid doing things that would get us in trouble with them. Alcohol and explosions fall under this category.

@San-su: Next time, please gather all your thoughts in a clear manner BEFORE you post.

i could bring my musket, and we could fire off really loud charges of black powder.

it's not a firearm, so technically, they can't really do anything about it ;)

Yeah, it'd be better to keep it non-alcoholic, good chance that many will not be 21+ by the 4th :)
Also, the PK Cali Fullerton account doesn't have enough to cover said fireworks fine.
