There's been some talk of going to wasabe's Monkey Canyon lately, and so I've decided to take a more avid interest in organizing a trip.

Not even necessarily Monkey Canyon, but anywhere rocky/mountainy/foresty/rough terrain-like. A place where we can really test our abilities outside of our comfort zones.

Right now I'm down with Monkey Canyon, but any ideas are welcome. I say two weeks from Saturday.

The Mt. Baldy area is pretty awesome. My buddy & I summitted Baldy a few months ago for the 1st time. 10k feet or so. DannyC knows the area too.

sly park is pretty good too. its in polluk pines (bad spelling) hundreds of trails, + rocks and things to climb.

best part, the trails surround jenkinson lake so we can go swimming when were tired.

I'm down. I also have recently found a handful of unbelivable wilderness spots (one has a subterrenean lake). But I am interested in checking this one out. What area is it located in?

What Saturday are you going? I am climbing Baldy on 08/11 but it's just class 1 hiking, most of you might get bored.

Has this happened yet? Can we make it a monthly wilderness weekend or at least day? We can move around to different places. Mt. Baldy is in my backyard... kind of. Well the foothills are. But anyways, what the heck ACE? A Subterranean Lake? That sounds... dangerous... and AWESOME!
