It was pointed out in the wilderness discussion thread that a monthly wilderness training might be a good idea.

This month, on Saturday August 8th, we will be going to Monkey Canyon which is located here:

Apparently this place is not for "those who don't know what they are getting themselves into" so if you want to join us, be advised that we have never been there and you must be prepared for anything, even very difficult routes.

Having said that, anyone who would like to come along is welcome and encouraged.

Can't make this one but I'd like to go to next months. It'd be cool to have another session at Rock City, too.

Hey, I have a perfect idea for a place... for next month.. It's called Eaton Canyon, it's in Pasadena. I haven't been, but my sister goes ALL the time, there's climbing, pools of water that can be jumped into, lots of waterfalls to be climbed etc...

Uh, I dunno. I mean I would drive but I got like a two seater truck lol. But I'm willing to throw in for gas if someone else wants to drive. And that sounds cool Taylor, I am definately down to go there.

So it looks like its going to be me, my cousin, pat, dev, and taylor. So what you wanna do guys? We can meet and carpool up to taylor to pick him up or we can take seperate cars, or whatever. Like i said i only have a two seater truck, but I might be able to convince my mom to let me use her car. If not, do either pat or dev wanna drive and we can all pitch in for gas?

I'm not going to Rock The Bells anymore so it looks like I can go depending on what time we leave. Also, I'd like to reserve hosting duties for the 3rd outing. (after Taylor's in 'Dena)
