Hey everyone, sorry I have been gone for so long, but my schedule is finally freeing up again and man do I need parkour back in my life so hopefully I will start seeing everyone again at Balboa park and all over San Diego again.

I am at a new gym now and I am trying to see if there is enough interest still in San Diego to make an open gym souly for parkour again!!!

come check out our adult open gyms that we already have to give me some feedback if you think this may happen again and what I can do to improve the gym to make it more beneficial to assist in training. One thing I have considered is to make blocks that are not soft foam blocks that you typically see in the gym. Any other Ideas please let me know.

our open gyms are tuesday, thursday, and friday nights from 8:00-10:00p.m. there is a waiver to be filled out, and a $10 fee. Another negative is that these open gyms are for people who are 16 and older.(if there is enough interest for the pk open gym i will be fighting the age requirement)

the address is 7698 miramar road San Diego CA
we are not visible off the street! we are between empire street and the ashley furniture store pyramid, look for the gymnastics sign and go to the very back of the parking lot.

check out the gyms new website for more info and a map (they call the open gyms "inovation sessions")

I hope everyone and thier training is going great!!

Hey Daniel, I got your PM! I'd love to come check it out, it's been at least a year or two since I've been. An Open Gym exclusively for Parkour would be awesome!

I like the idea of building solid vault boxes and I know there are plans for such things floating around online. Another idea would be precision trainers(bars that lay close to the ground and could be moved closer or further apart), and if you can get them to let you mount things on the walls, bars or ledges for catleaps would be awesome.

Good luck with your project and I hope to see you soon!

I will be there tonight, but I havent been there in so long, that my name in the system might have been erased.

I'm not 18 yet, but would anyone that's going tonight be willing to be my "older brother" or something and help sign me up?

Anyone actually been here lately? How good of a pk gym is it? Is there much stuff to move around and practice vaults and such on?

Figured I'd ask before I went and checked it out myself.

I was wondering if there was anyway to possibly set up a community carpool for tracuers who don't have reliable transportation to open gym nights?

No motivation needed. This is how I live my life.

I'd be willing to pick up a few people around my area on the nights that I go (assuming it's worth going to more than once). I'm free pretty much every night so if there are some people up here in north county who want to get together, let's do it.

Humans are like slinkys. Pretty much useless, but it's excessively entertaining to watch them fall down stairs.
