In addition to the planning thread, this is where all the confirmed details (as they become available) will go. Be sure to check back as things are still progressing, also feel free to to post if you'll be coming or not. For any input on the MWCJ please refer to the planning thread.

The post from cak010 two posts below this has all the details.

Here's a -link- to a Priceline.com page of hotels near UCLA. (UCLA is the cluster right by the #2 marker) If you know a group of people who will be coming down, try getting them all to go with the same hotel, as most will give you a lower group rate.

UPDATE:
This will be happening August 20-22.

Schedule:
Friday, August 20th - Evening Gym session
Saturday, August 21st - UCLA Session
Sunday, August 22nd - More training (possibly Santa Monica or Fullerton)

--Info on the gym--
LA School of Gymnastics
8450 Higuera Street
Culver City, 90232
google map

Show up around 8:30pm

Also, you MUST fill out a liability waiver. If you are under 18, you must have a legal guardian sign it. You can download the waiver here and bring it with the day of. LASG_Release_Form. Fill out the first half. On the second half we just need emergency contact info (located toward the bottom). No need for driver's license info and that stuff.

--Info on UCLA--
Meet at the fountain area at the corner of Westwood Blvd. and Le Conte Ave. (North-East corner of the intersection, diagonal from Burger King)
Map
Here's a Campus Map if you want it.

Time: 10am

Possible post-session BBQ:
Once we stop training, we can head to a park just down the road from UCLA that has places to BBQ. It's Westwood Park map. Someone would have to volunteer to do run the BBQ, money would have to be collected for food, someone would have to pick up the food, etc.
Who's up for it?

--Info on Sunday--
TBD

--Housing and Transportation--
As far as places to stay go...if you are looking to stay with someone, I think at least one person here volunteered to house people.
Anyone else willing to house people? If so, how many an stay at your place?

- Ty (aka Beast) has volunteered to house 5-6 people
Beast wrote ...
ok. i put in for the time off, and friday/saturday night, i can house like, 5-6 people. im here in La Habra Heights, about 15 minutes from Hillcrest/Fullerton. my phone number is 562-217-1230. text me, as when i'm at work, i can't reallly talk on the phone, but can sneak info via text. so yeah, there ya go. :) Albert and Michael and a few others stayed at my place last year
Beast still has a few spots left that haven't been claimed if anyone needs a place to stay.

Hostels in the Santa Monica/Venice, West Hollywood/Hollywood area are good. Here are a few good ones:
Santa Monica -link-
Hollywood - -link-
Venice - -link-
West Hollywood - -link-
If you are a girl and want a hostel that is all girls and proven to be safe, check out this one in Hollywood bordering Downtown (getting a little far from UCLA if you don't have a ride) -link-

As for hotels/motels, search for something in one of these areas to be near UCLA: Westwood, Century City, Santa Monica, Culver City, Venice, West LA, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, or Brentwood.
UCLA has a "Guest House" Hotel which can be useful if you are splitting the cost or don't mind paying a bit more. Then again hotels in the area are not generally inexpensive. Motels will be less expensive. If you have any questions about a particular area and safety, post up and I'll let you know my thoughts.

Of course depending on where you are will determine your transportation needs. There are a few bus systems in LA that work though it can be difficult to navigate. One has to know what buses and times before going to a bus stop as there is rarely a schedule at the actual bus stop itself. Google Maps is a good place to start for bus directions if you have addresses. Also, LA Metro goes virtually everywhere in LA but can get confusing. Santa Monica has an efficient bus system called the Big Blue Bus. Culver City has the Culver City Bus. Hollywood/West Hollywood has the "Dash" but effective August 1st it won't service that area anymore but the area will still be covered by LA Metro.
Of course there are local taxis but I don't know how expensive that will get.

Also, I'm sure some people are willing to offer rides as well as long as they know you need it so post up! NoFlo already offered to give a ride to those who may need it.

--Parking--
Here's the general parking situation for Westwood and UCLA:

Parking in Westwood can be quite challenging. It's actually one of the most complained about issues in the area. There are various parking lots in the area as well as parking in the UCLA lots. Free parking is a rare thing to find.
I don't know the prices for any of the lots.

Westwood parking lots/structures/street
There is a parking structure and a parking lot right across the street from each other on Broxton Ave: See map here.
There is a parking lot at the corner of Le Conte Ave and Broxton Ave (entrance on Le Conte) See map here
There is metered parking spread throughout Westwood if you want to go that route. Most of Westwood now uses those numbered spots with pay kiosks as opposed to individual meters per spot so be aware of that. Again, watch your time if you do park at one as parking enforcement does issue citations.

UCLA lots/structures
Here's a general UCLA Parking Map
Parking in a UCLA lot can be done in a couple ways depending on the lot itself. Parking Pay Stations can be found in some lots and structures throughout campus. Please read the posted signs and screen prompts for Pay by Space or Pay and Display directions. Pay Stations allow you to select the time you need to spend on campus and pay accordingly (all-day passes can also be purchased).
Daily Permits are available by stopping at the Information & Parking booth located on Westwood in the median across from Parking lot 9. They can actually tell you all your parking options within UCLA. There are other Info booths around campus if needed and they are indicated by the "i" symbols on the general UCLA Parking map linked above.

Other
There's the slightest chance you may be able to find some free street parking (don't count on it) in the residential areas but be very careful. Limits are strict and parking enforcement really does patrol the area and will ticket you if you are parked longer than the allotted time, IF you are even allowed to park there in the first place. So read all posted signs carefully.

For BBQ:
Westwood Park
As for parking at Westwood Park, there is street parking (again be mindful of posted signs) as well as two free lots. One small lot is located at the Veteran Ave entrance and one at the Sepulveda Blvd entrance.

I hope that helps.

Great sessions everyone. Glad it all turned out well.
I'm sure we'll see some videos popping up really soon. The Daily Bruin already put out their article Flowing Against Gravity from the time they hung out at UCLA. I can't say it's the best article, but whatever.

I'm sorry I couldn't stay long on Saturday. How did Sunday turn out?

Anyone want to do a write-up?

Someone who was hanging out with us on Saturday during the first part of the session (at the initial meetup spot) made a video from the footage she took.
Thanks Cris! -link-
