San Diego Parkour is hosting it's first ever Community BBQ Jam! We're going to start in Balboa Park, train all day ending up in downtown for an awesome rooftop BBQ featuring live DJ's Hungry Bear, Steak & Lobster, and Maleko!!

This is the first of many events as we kick off the launch of www.SanDiegoParkour.com, unite the community and get to know our neighbors!

Bring a jacket... it gets cold on the roof.

We’ll provide the food, though we will be asking for a donation to help with the costs of the event and the creation of our upcoming non-profit organization!

Location:

Balboa Park, San Diego
MAP: Click Me!

Parking: There is free parking off of Park Blvd. On a busy day you can park at the Zoo just up the road.

1111 6th Avenue
San Diego CA 92101
MAP: Click Me!

Parking: There are meters on the streets until 6:00pm, after that you might get lucky and find something. Another option would be an all-day pay parking. However, If you park at Horton Plaza you can get validated for free.

There is extremely limited parking at the building... it will have be reserved for volunteers/coordinators or people bringing equipment, supplies, etc.

RULES:

1) Leave no trace!
2) Respect the evironment. Stay out of the plants and flowers, do not go onto the roofs.
3) At the BBQ, stay within the permited areas of the building. This is a comercial office building. Do not go near the building ledges or air conditioning equipment. Be safe and responsible!

AGENDA:

12:30pm - Meet at the Butterfly Garden
1:30pm - We'll move around the park, splitting into groups if neccessary.
5:00pm - The doors will be open at 1111 6th Ave
6:00pm - BBQ, Hot Dogs, Music.
6:30pm - Front Doors Lock!! You will have to call to be let in if you leave
11:00pm - Clean Up!

VOLUNTEERS:
If you are willing to help out with things like cleaning up, moving equipment, directing traffic, buying groceries, manning a grill, etc. Please let me know!

I am there.

Humans are like slinkys. Pretty much useless, but it's excessively entertaining to watch them fall down stairs.

Hah, I wish... we'll be lucky if we can afford enough hotdogs to feed the 50+ people I'm expecting. :S

yes. we'll do one big group warm up and then if theres a lot of people we might break into smaller groups with different people leading different groups around the park. Then about 5:00 we'll head downtown, though some people will need to be there setting up before that. We also need people to help clean up and breakdown after.

This sounds like alot of fun. I'd be down to help clean up afterwards, unless you already have people.

Yes! North County will be going, that might be three or ten, but we'll be there.
Also I'm having trouble finding the Facebook page for the event, anyone know how I can find and confirm on it?

Chloe and I should be coming...barring any unforeseen circumstances (aka the baby coming early). We also might be bringing a friend with us.
